The Ins And Outs of How We Do Business

  • Does someone always have to be home while cleaning?
    If you will not be home for the cleaning, please call to provide the information required to obtain access. You can provide us the keys, the access code, or tell the doorman to give us access.
  • Are you licensed, bonded and insured?
    Yes, we are. We also do a full background reference check on all of our employees to ensure we have good, trustworthy employees in your home.
  • How much of a tip is customary?
    A tip is not required, but definitely appreciated. If you decide to tip 10-20% is a good tip.
  • Are your employees pet friendly?
    Most of our employees are fine with having pets around for the cleanings. There are a few employees that we have that are allergic to pets.
  • How far in advance do I need to schedule service?
    We will try our best to fulfill your request of same day cleaning services, but 24 hours ahead of time is ideal.
  • Do I have to do anything before cleaning?
    In order to give you the greatest house and commercial cleaning value, we ask you to take a few minutes the night before and pick up extraneous clothing, important documents, toys, and other personal household items.
  • What if something is damaged during the service provided?
    We treat your home with complete care and respect. However, should damage or breakage occur while we are cleaning. E-Flats will make every effort to repair or replace the item. When appropriate, insurance claims will be filed. We are fully bonded and insured so that should the unfortunate happen we have it taken care of.
  • What is the difference between basic cleaning and deep cleaning
    Basic house cleaning is all around good surface cleaning, concentrating on kitchens, bathrooms, floors, and dusting. There is a set list of tasks that are done and is more than likely going to be set up as a flat rate. On deep house cleaning, we can do whatever the customer wants that is cleaning-related. This cleaning will be set up as per the services requested. Most of the time, customers will set to have all the basic cleaning items + certain specifics that they want concentrated on.
  • Will I get the same person or team every time?
    We try very hard to have the same personnel at your home every time. Per your request we will send the same crew if you offer us arrival flexibility. Occasionally, due to illness or the like, an alternate team or maid will have to be substituted.
  • What is your cancellation policy?
    We understand that life does not always go as planned. However, if it is necessary to cancel/postpone any scheduled cleaning, we ask that you please call the E-Flats Customer Service at least 24 Hours prior to the scheduled cleaning. That will allow us ample time to make the necessary adjustments to our daily cleaning schedule. If we do not receive 24-hour notice, a $99 fee will be assessed to the customer's credit card, which will be required to book a cleaning appointment.
